Education: Each year IHS sponsors an annual convention that awards on average 12-CEUs certified by the International Hearing Society and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
At this event, IHS brings in nationally known presenters on topics that are both professionally upgrading as well as business oriented to improve your entire operation.
Legislation: IHS maintains a full-time lobbyist to protect our interests at the State Capitol.
It was the effort of IHS that helped pass legislation delaying the enactment of a new law on licensing dispensers until January 2003. Without the passage of that law, our industry was shut-out from having new people licensed as dispensers without enrolling in an audiology curriculum at a major university.
Business Services: IHS is working on value-added services that will enhance the business side of your operations. IHS already has a great credit card processing service at a 1.69% rate. This program allows you to separate credit charges from debit card charges which means even more savings to you. In addition, IHS is looking into insurance products that can save you money as well.
